11 Amazon ventures become part of the Orange Entrepreneurship Route

The biodiversity and talent of the Amazon was the source of inspiration for the 44 ventures that participated in the Great Orange Challenge that took place on November 8 in Leticia.

The 11 enterprises that obtained the best scores were recognized by the president of Colombia, Iván Duque, during the Building Country workshop that took place on November 9 in the capital of Amazonas.The multiple classroom of the SENA headquarters was the setting in which 44 entrepreneurships from the cultural and creative industries had the opportunity to demonstrate the reasons why their business ideas had the capacity to generate sustainable income for the department.
With the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Innpulsa Colombia, Corpoamazonía, Negocios Verdes and the Government of Amazonas, the enterprises with the greatest potential were chosen. The proposals were diverse and innovative. There were businesses inspired by medicinal aromatic herbs, hip hop, software, bird watching, gastronomy, music, education and crafts with ancestral knowledge.
The 11 chosen ventures were honored by the Colombian president, Iván Duque, and will join the Orange Entrepreneurship Route led by Innpulsa Colombia and supported by UNDP, which seeks to promote creative, artistic and cultural businesses that contribute to local economic development. . For a year, these entrepreneurs will receive technical support and seed capital close to 7 million pesos to catapult their proposals and detonate their talents.
The recognition was delivered at the Building the Country Workshop in the company of José Manuel Restrepo, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism; Ignacio Gaitán, manager of
Innpulsa Colombia; Pablo Ruiz, director of UNDP and Lina Arbeláez, National Manager of Poverty and Inequity Reduction of UNDP.

It is an ecological park that has promoted, for eight years, a process of conservation and recovery of land for tourism, environmental education and glamping.
Amaflora – Milena Mayorga
It is based on the production of aromatic Amazonian drinks incorporating ancestral knowledge. The families that are part of the venture buy the raw materials and transform them with dehydration processes. They have the registration and validation of INVIMA. In the short term, they seek to modernize the packaging and produce more envelopes for distribution in the national market.
Amazon Wings – William Daza
The venture has been promoting bird watching tourism for 7 years. They want to position the Amazon as a region for bird watching. In the medium term they seek to consolidate themselves as a tourism agency focused on this segment.

Amazon Business They seek to generate new audiovisual narratives in the region and generate unique experiences. They have the dream of capturing the best moments for their clients using the Amazon as a frame.
BOA FEST – Geraldine Pineda
This ethnic Hip Hop project is a youth movement that restores the traditional language. It generates a dialogue with the elderly and with the young and articulates local artists with the national industry. They want to have their own headquarters and produce music in a recording studio.
Muttevi – Rodriguez Transit
This venture seeks to recover the traditions and languages of the Amazon through the creation of the first artisan house in the city. They promote reforestation to obtain the raw material with which they make their crafts.
Amazonas Light, mystery and magic -Jesús Andrés Fajardo
The enterprise seeks to create a space to show the cultural wealth of Leticia. It is a dance, music and craft collective interested in exposing local culture through a show called Caraná.

Amazon Business The initiative generates citizen education through performing arts and culture. It works hand in hand with the private sector and wants to offer marketing 4.0 experiences in the region.
Aquatic Zone – Alonso Segura and Emilia Morán
It is a sports and cultural stimulation center of the Amazon that has been in operation for three years. Through swimming they seek to promote culture, sports, dance and personal care.
Ecohotel Refugio de la Floresta – Jhuliana Cárdenas Mora
It is a family business that has been working in the tourism sector for 6 years. They have a thematic ECOHOTEL in which there is use of solid waste as a design and construction tool.
### CulturART Amazon – Erica Rivas
It is a virtual store that exposes crafts and traditional products of the region. His proposal is to show the [Amazonian culture] to the world and dignify the work of artisans. They want to make their customers aware of resource management and promote the use of plastic-free products.
